This Girl Can Festival Fund

Would you like to deliver a sport or physical activity project tailored to suit women and girls?

Eligibility
Clubs, Volunteers, Coaches, NGB's, Local Authority, Education, Charities & Voluntary Sector, Social Enterprise.

What For?
Get Berkshire Active have recently launched a This Girl Can Festival Fund.

Organisations can apply for one of six pots of £750 which must be used to deliver a This Girl Can Festival followed by a minimum of 5 follow on sessions.

Both the Festival and Follow on sessions can involve single or multi sports/activities and be open to women and girls of all ages and abilities.

The £750 can ONLY be used for:
Coaching/Instructor/Leader fees
Coordinator time (including collecting and uploading monitoring data)
Facility Fees
Equipment and Training (to support sustainability)
Marketing/Promoting (any marketing must be developed in accordance with This Girl Can guidelines)
Incentives, prizes, T-shirts etc
The Festival and follow up sessions must be completed by the 30th of September 2015.

Females of all ages can be engaged in the Festival and follow up sessions but they must be structured to suit the needs of the inactive/new to sport/activity.

If more funding is needed to deliver the festival and follow up sessions applying organisations will be required to secure this through in-kind or in-cash contributions from either their own budgets or partner organisations. Where financial constraints are not a barrier to the target group a nominal participant contribution is allowed.

The lead organisation must have valid Public Liability Insurance and shall be liable for, and indemnify GBA against, any expense liability loss claim or proceedings whatsoever arising under statute or common law in respect of personal injury or damage whatsoever to any property real or personal insofar as such injury or damage arises out of or in the course of or by the carrying out the Festival and follow up sessions.

The lead organisation will be required to demonstrate safeguarding policies and procedures in accordance with GBA’s minimum operating standards.

GBA expects all lead organisations to demonstrate a commitment to equality and tackling discrimination in all its forms.

How Much?
Organisations can apply for one of six pots of £750.

Deadline
Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday the 29th of May and Festivals and Follow on sessions must be delivered by the end of September 2015.
